- Wagon Train Trek -

When: August 12-16, 2019

Ticket Prices:

Tenderfoot (Day Ride) - $475 per person

Outrider (Bring Own Horse or Mule) - $550 per person

Pioneer (6 day event, 4 days on trail plus 2-day encampment) $1,199 per person

“Wagons Ho” on the morning of Monday, August 12, 2019. The exact departure point and address will
be included in your travel packet you will receive after you register.
If you wish to do the Entire 6-day Trek, you need to register as a PIONEER
If you wish to just do a one-day segment of the Trek, you need to specify which day, and register as a
TENDERFOOT
OUTRIDERS & TEAMSTER: You and your horses and equipment should arrive at the departure point the
day before. Bring your trailers, and use them as sleeping quarters along the trek and at the
encampment.
PIONEERS: We will transport you to the start of the wagon train from Kanab via bus or van, Early
Monday Morning (Aug 12).
TENDERFOOTS: We will transport you from Kanab to that day’s Start Point campsite via bus or van early
in the morning. BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED. We will pick you up from the days trail ride--after Supper and Entertainment--and bring you back to your hotel in Kanab. OVERNIGHT CAMPING IS NOT INCLUDED. ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING THEIR OWN ACCOMODATIONS BEFORE AND AFTER THE TREK!!! We suggest you make those reservations early!!

- Country Battle USA -

When: Friday, Aug 16, 2019 10am-6pm

&

Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 9:30am-12pm and 1pm-6pm.

Ticket Price: $10 per person

Country Battle USA is a two-day battle of country and western bands being played at the Redstone Theatre, 29 West Center Street. There will be 6 bands and $15,000 in prize money- winner takes all. The winner will perform during a street dance finale on Saturday night.

 

 - Country Legends -

When: Friday 7pm-9pm

Ticket Price: $20 per person

Relive the music that made the genre with this heart-stopping showcase featuring the music of Country music legends including Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Bob Wills, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, John Denver, Waylon Jennings, George Straight, Garth Brooks, Charlie Daniels, Shania Twain, Martina McBride and more.

Country Legends takes you on a journey from the first national Country hit song to the unforgettable soundtracks of the subsequent decades. This driving musical performance is seasoned with entertaining tidbits and audience interaction as members of the sizzling seven-piece band, Stranded Tourists, share their love for the masters of America's music.

- Roo Arcus -

When: Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 7pm-8:30pm

Ticket Price: $25 per person

Roo Arcus is an Australian country music senstation! Roo is a traditonal country artist, not just with the songs his life has inspired, but with the country lifestyle that he leads. Come enjoy a full concert at the Redstone Theatre, 29 West Center Street.

 

- Western Legends Rodeo -

When: Thursday, August 15, 2019

Ticket Price: $5 per person

The Ranch Rodeo will have mutton busting, roping, and cowhide rides. Roo Arcus (above) will be on site to sing the American National Anthem as well as his song Red, White, and Blue. Full concessions including nachos, hot dogs, and a pulled pork dinner will be available at the rodeo grounds. This is sure to be a fun filled evening.

 

- Melodramas -

When: Friday, Aug 16, 2019 1pm and 3pm & Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 1pm and 3pm

Ticket Price: $10 per person

Gunstroke is a melodrama written by local, Doug Keller. It is a small spoof modeled after the tv series Gunsmoke. This is sure to be a fun filled evening full of jeers and cheers. Two of the original actors are returning to town to fill their old acting shoes, as well as other locals who are sure to put on a good show. The plays will be located at the Old Barn Playhouse behind the famous Parry's Lodge, 89 East Center Street.

 

- VIP Melodramas -

When: Friday, Aug 16, 2019 1pm and 3pm & Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 1pm and 3pm

Ticket Prices: $20 per person

VIP tickets will include a train ride, homemade rootbeer and pretzels for the Melodramas with many other fun surprises along the way. Keep an eye out for Dr. Buck and his Wild Bunch! Guests will need to be at the corner of Main Street and Center Street (there will be a sign) for pick up.

Ticket Prices: $30 per person

Come sit down to dinner and mingle with all of this year's stars! Hear the stories and find out what Little Hollywood was like. Dinner will be a delicious down home western meal. There will also be a Little Hollywood Plaque Presentation with this year's Western Legend Honorees. Guaranteed to be a night you will never forget. Dinner with the Stars will be located at beautiful Jacob Hamblin Park, 566 North 100 East.

Bus Tours -

When: Friday, Aug 16, 2019 9am and Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 9am

Ticket Prices: $35 per person

Red Pueblo Museum & Pipe Spring Tour - Come seen an extensive collection of Indian Artifacts all received by donation. Local, Dixon Spendlove, will entertain and educate with his vast knowledge of the culture and artifacts of the area's native people. Next, you will visit Pipe Spring National Monument. Beneath vermilion cliffs American Indians, Mormon Ranchers, plants, animals, and many others have depended on the life-giving water found at the desert oasis at Pipe Spring. Learn about settler and Kaibab Paiute life by exploring the museum, historic fort and cabins, garden, and Ridge Trail. Visit with rangers and ranch animals, and attend living history demonstrations and talks.

Guests will need to meet the bus at 180 East 100 North Kanab, Utah.

 

Bus Tours -

When: Friday, Aug 16, 2019 9am and Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 9am

Ticket Prices: $35 per person

Movie History Tour - Come hear the history of "Little Hollywood" as told by John Jacobs. This tour will take you on a ride in and around Kanab, exploring movie history and old movie sets. Starting at  Parry's Lodge, the tour will continue through Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (Kanab Canyon, where many movies were filmed), back through downtown Kanab, and finally out to the Gunsmoke TV set in Johnson Canyon.

 

Breakfast with the Stars -

When: Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 8am

Ticket Price: $20 per person

Come sit down to breakfast and mingle with this year's stars. Hear their stories and find out what Little Hollywood was like. Breakfast will be classic western-style cowboy breakfast. Guaranteed to be a meal you will never forget. Breakfast with the Stars will take place at Iron Horse Restaurant, 78 E. West Center Street, Kanab.

- Historic Kanab Fort Tours -

Ticket Prices: See each tour

Take a tour of the Historic Kanab Movie Fort where several movies have been filmed: The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again - One Little Indian - Fort Apache - Fury at Furnace Creek - Fort Yuma - Yellow Tomahawk - Fort Dobbs - How the West was Won - and West World (HBO Season 2) to name a few.

Tours of the Historic Kanab Movie Fort are being provided by Adventure Tour Company on private land through their Wagon Ride Tours and Campfire S'mores & Stars Tour.

 

- Wagon Ride Tour: 9am-11am & Noon-2pm $45 per person -

Meet at the gate at the south end of South Powell Drive. We will load up the hay wagon and enjoy the spectacular views in a private canyon. You may see our herd of Texas Longhorns and their adorable babies, then we will give you a tour of the historic Kanab Fort.

 

- Campfire S'mores & Stars Tour: 7:30pm- 10pm $50 per person -

Meet at 16 South 100 East across from the Visitor Center in Kanab. We will load up in our big green military trucks and drive out to the Kanab Movie Fort. You will love the spectacular views in a private canyon and see our herd of Texas Longhorns and their adorable babies. You will tour the movie fort, play yard games, enjoy a large S'mores bar, or just relax by the fire and view an explosion of stars.

 

**August 16 ONLY - Add on a Dutch Oven Dinner with your tour! $25 per person**

Friday night you may add a cowboy dutch oven dinner to the Campfire S'mores & Stars Tour

 

- Star Panel -

When: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm at the LDS Church on Main Street

Ticket Price: Free

Come meet this year's stars, talk to them and maybe even get an autograph. The star panel draws a large crowd and is sure to please. Stars will include: Wyatt McCrea, Neil Summers, Darby Hinton, Rudy Ramos, Cheryl Rogers Barnett, Don Collier, Robert Carradine, Johnnie Whitaker, Kathy Garver, and look-alikes Joe "Hoppy" Sullivan and Mark "Festus" Staggs. - Train Rides -

All aboard!! The train is pulling out and taking little "train" rides through town. Everyone loves how authentic this "train" really is, from the steam and whistle, to the very look and feel of it. You are sure to have lasting memories and maybe a few photos too!

- Mark Staggs "Festus Lives On" -

When: Friday, Aug 16 5:30pm-6:30pm & Saturday, Aug 17 5:30pm-6:30pm

Ticket Prices: $20 per person

You're in for a real treat pardner. Nobody des celebrity impressions like Mark Staggs! Now doesn't everyone just love Gunsmoke's favorite lovable character, Festus? Live, here at Western Legends Heritage and Music Festival, on stage. You may also see a tinge of Forest Gump, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and all kinds of celebrities wrapped up in one talent. All this in the historice Parry Lodge Old Barn Playhouse. Seating is very limited, so buy yer tickets now while you're thinking about it. The Old Barn Playhouse is located just behind the Parry's Lodge Motel, 89 East Center Street, Kanab.

- "Remembering Roy and Dale" with Cheryl Rogers Burnett -

Cheryl Rogers Burnett will be available for a Q&A after the showing of "Trail of Robin Hood". Located at the Crescent Moon Theater, 150 South 100 East, Kanab.

Cheryl Rogers Burnett will be availabel for a Q&A after the showing of "Sunset in El Dorado". Located at the Crescent Moon Theatre, 150 South 100 East, Kanab.

Rudy Ramos - "Geronimo: Life on the Reservation" -

Ticket Prices: $20 per person

Experience the story of Geronimo, the Native American leader and warrior, as performed by Rudy Ramos.

Apache leader Geronimo spent 23 years as a prisoner of war on multiple governments reservations. This single performer show portrays the final years of Geronimo's story, showing him rejecting the injustice of being held as a war prisoner in his own land.
