Join us for the wildest rodeo in all of Kane County!

See tough and true cowboys continue in their western heritage with Bull Riding, Bare Back Broncs, Saddle Bronc, Barrel Racing, Jr Bulls, Peewee Steers, Mutton Busting, and Team Roping at the end of the night - a fundraiser for a local family in need.

Western Legends Heritage & Music Festival Rodeo will take place Thursday, August 15, 2019 7pm at the beautiful Kane County Kane Plex overlooking Jackson Flat Reservoir and the glowing red cliffs of Kanab.

 

- Breakfast & Dinner with the Stars -

Dinner :Thursday, Aug 15, 2019 5pm

Come sit down to dinner and mingle with all of this year's stars! Hear the stories and find out what Little Hollywood was like. Dinner will be a delicious down home western meal. There will also be a Little Hollywood Plaque Presentation with this year's Western Legend Honorees. Guaranteed to be a night you will never forget. Dinner with the Stars will be located at beautiful Jacob Hamblin Park, 566 North 100 East.

Breakfast: Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 8am

Breakfast will be classic western-style cowboy breakfast. Guaranteed to be a meal you will never forget. Breakfast with the Stars will take place at Iron Horse Restaurant, 78 E. West Center Street, Kanab. 

 

- Country Battle USA (6 Bands Competing for $15,000) -

Country Battle USA is a two-day battle of country and western bands being played at the Redstone Theatre Friday 10am - 6pm & Saturday 9:30am-6pm, 29 West Center Street. There will be 6 bands and $15,000 in prize money- winner takes all. The winner will perform during a street dance finale on Saturday night.

 

- Roo Arcus -

Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 7pm-8:30pm

Roo Arcus is an Australian country music senstation! Roo is a traditonal country artist, not just with the songs his life has inspired, but with the country lifestyle that he leads. Come enjoy a full concert at the Redstone Theatre, 29 West Center Street.

 

- Country Legends -

 Friday 7pm-9pm

Re-live the music that made the genre with this heart-stopping showcase featuring the music of Country music legends including Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Bob Wills, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, John Denver and more. Country Legends takes you on a journey from the first national Country hit song to the unforgettable soundtracks of the subsequent decades. This driving performance is seasoned with entertaining tid-bits and first-hand accounts as members of the sizzling seven-piece band, Stranded Tourists, share their personal experiences meeting and even performing with a few of the masters of America's music. 

    

 

- High Noon Longhorn Parade -

Join us for our classic High Noon Longhorn Parade Saturday, August 17 12pm!

 

- Dr. Buck's Wild Bunch! -

Dr. Buck’s Wild Bunch and cast of Wild West Performers entertain with tricks, stunts, bullwhip cracking, gunfights, story telling, and magic.

This Kanab Favorite has it all! From Wild West Comedy Stunt Shows, featuring “Reel” Hollywood stuntmen, with plenty of Punches and Punch Lines, and of course some fun audience participation! Lee Anderson and his wonder horse Concho, once again brings audiences some enlightening “History Meets Hollywood” information! The Wizard of the West, Mysterioso will amaze and amuse with his unique brand of magic! NEW this year. . . “The Wild Whip Cracker”, with a bullwhip traveling at 750 MPH–it’s bound to be a Wild Show you won’t forget! Plus, as Dr. Buck has been doing for nearly 10 years at Western Legends Roundup–there will likely be a few ‘explosive surprises’!

- Melodramas -

When: Friday, Aug 16, 2019 1pm and 3pm & Saturday, Aug 17, 2019 1pm and 3pm

Ticket Price: $10 per person

Gunstroke is a melodrama written by local, Doug Keller. It is a small spoof modeled after the tv series Gunsmoke. This is sure to be a fun filled evening full of jeers and cheers. Two of the original actors are returning to town to fill their old acting shoes, as well as other locals who are sure to put on a good show. The plays will be located at the Old Barn Playhouse behind the famous Parry's Lodge, 89 East Center Street.

VIP tickets will include a train ride, homemade rootbeer and pretzels for the Melodramas with many other fun surprises along the way. Keep an eye out for Dr. Buck and his Wild Bunch! Guests will need to be at the corner of Main Street and Center Street (there will be a sign) for pick up.

 

Mark Staggs "Festus Lives On" -

You're in for a real treat pardner. Nobody des celebrity impressions like Mark Staggs! Now doesn't everyone just love Gunsmoke's favorite lovable character, Festus? Live, here at Western Legends Heritage and Music Festival, on stage. You may also see a tinge of Forest Gump, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and all kinds of celebrities wrapped up in one talent. All this in the historice Parry Lodge Old Barn Playhouse. Seating is very limited, so buy yer tickets now while you're thinking about it. The Old Barn Playhouse is located just behind the Parry's Lodge Motel, 89 East Center Street, Kanab.
