Horseback Riding
Horseback riding in these settings allows visitors to imagine the days of
the old west when pioneers, outlaws and lawmen ranged through the vast open
spaces of Utah and Arizona. Horseback riding opportunities are available in
several places in the Grand Canyons region.
Outfitters provide horseback
riding tours at Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Kodachrome
Basin State Park, Duck Creek Village and mule rides are available during the
season at the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.
Guest ranches offer riding
experiences and one outfitter also offers multi-day rides. Guided rides
give visitors an opportunity to view the scenic wonders of the region
without the strains of hiking and also provide the thrill of a western
horseback experience. Click on the area cities and check under the Activities/Shopping category for outfitters that provide horseback riding opportunities in each area.
