Welcome to Southern Utah's weekly blog, our way of letting you know more about Canyon Country and how you can best enjoy every minute of your stay here. Each week we will share information about the people and the places that make this region so very amazing. From the stunning scenery to exciting adventures hiking, canyoneering, 4-wheeling, horse trekking, boating on Lake Powell or even flying in a little 6-seater over the National Parks - Kane County has it all. Whatever your travel style is, we have the adventure to fit it.
Over the next few weeks we'll acquaint you with Zion National Park; its winter activities and upcoming spring/summer events. Then, we'll take you on a virtual tour through the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument, visiting Kodachrome State Park, stunning Grosvenor Arch and the Cottonwood Narrows. Another week we'll introduce you to the thrills of canyoneering and "take you" rappelling into mysterious and always beautiful slot canyons. February 27-March1 is the first ever BALLOONS & TUNES Festival here in Kanab. Complete with competing bands and a parade of bright balloons flying over red rock country this already promises to be a fantastic event (Go to Calendar for more info.) Each month, we'll feature the work of a different photographer or other artist - letting you see through their creative experience just how unquestionably magnificent this place is.
