Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Located just north of Kanab, Utah this organization began in the 1970's and has grown to become one of the most successful animal sanctuaries in the United States. With the assistance of many volunteers, the program rescues soon-to-be-killed or abused animals and works to have them adopted.

The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is a home to approximately 2,000 animals, most of which are cats and dogs, but there are also horses, burros, birds, rabbits, goats, pot-bellied pigs. Animals that are not adopted find a permanent home within the sanctuary.
