The Top of Zion Relay is a 195 mile, 24 -36 hour, 12 – runner relay race.  Top of Zion Relay will present the chance for teams to experience as never before, some of the most breathtaking, diverse, awe inspiring backcountry scenery in the world!

Runners will run through red towering walls, steep forest, majestic vistas, white mountain rock, open plains, country roads, past quiet lakes, serene aspen covered valleys, small rural towns and much more.

This relay will highlight some of Utah’s world famous  scenery featuring 3 national parks, 2 national monuments, 3 state parks, National Scenic Byway 12, 89 and 14, and Dixie National forest.

The course begins by Capitol Reef National park and ends at the top of Zion National Park.  The majority of the course is along Utah’s only “All-American Road” which passes through  Dixie National Forest,  over Boulder Mountain, through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument,  Bryce Canyon National Park, Red Canyon, and by Anasazi state park, Ecalante Petrified State Park, and Kodachrome State Park.  Running on this road is like an unforgettable journey through time that winds through some of the most unique geology on earth!

Gaining access to these magnificent views by way of a 24-36 hour, 12 man team running relay on a 195 mile course, will be a guaranteed adventure!
