Red Rocktoberfest- Canyon to Canyon 

Street Celebration

Music, Art, Beer & Food

 

Take a journey starting at Willow Canyon to Canyon Lodge.  The “Canyon to Canyon” merchant mile will be filled with German food and beverages, live music, art displays, book and poetry readings, and blends of Germany meets the Southwest. There will be dancing, games and activities for kids- it'll be fun for the whole family! 

A ‘passport’ brochure will be given to help navigate the artistic corridor and a shuttle service will be available for those who prefer to not walk the merchant mile. There will also be pumpkin carving happening at Honey’s Market. Fall will be in full celebration throughout the community. Enjoy a free wagon ride beginning at Parry Lodge and Mountain America Credit Union (tips appreciated) from 5-7 p.m. Wagon rides are one-way, so you may get on at either location and be dropped off at the other. 

There will be country dancing at the Coral Hills Dental parking lot from 8 pm- 10 pm and instruction will be provided by Danny and Natalie Button.  

 

Participating Venues and Activities: 

Honey’s Market will be hosting the 2nd annual pumpkin festival from 5 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.. Children, Teens and Adult can bring their pumpkin creation to Honey's Marketplace. Saturday, October 24. The activities will include a $3.00 hamburger dinner or $2 for hot dog and bratwurst dinner (both come with chips and a drink), free face painting and prizes for the winners of the pumpkin contest. There will also be a FREE 45 min magic show by Mighty Mike the Magician.

Willow Canyon: a reading and book signing and live music. 10% discount on merchandise. 

Best Friends Town Center:

  • Paw Painting (4 pm - 8 pm)
  • Kids' Arts & Crafts (4 pm - 8 pm)
  • How to photograph animals presented by Molly Wald (time is TBD)
  • 4 pm tour of the Sanctuary originating from the Town Center

Glazier’s Grocery Store - Local Photographer Barry Glazier will host an art show and have complementary apple cider and fresh donuts.

Three Bears – will have German fare in celebration of Octoberfest. Folk art by Bonnie Backus

Desert Star- Karaoke and Navajo tacos

Kanab Tours – Kids Activity - chalk art pictures and a "selfie" station

Tourism Office:  Kids Activity - big butterfly and Origami mural, virtual reality booth, and complementary Spiced Wassil

Iron Horse Restaurant and Saloon

  • “Slider Special” in the festival tent or come inside for a taste of authentic Texas BBQ prepared by the Executive Chef at The South Fork Ranch in Dallas.
  • Mike Ewing Cowboy Balladeer originally from El Paso, TX  will be performing

Denny’s Wigwam – Feauturing local photographer Marty Feely

  • Enjoy a German Pretzel while listening to live music and readings in the coffee house.
