Liz Adair will discuss “Why Fiction?” exploring the reasons people are driven to tell stories and how this shapes who we become. Liz will also talk about her new Spider Latham mystery set in Kanab and Fredonia. Liz spent her high school years in the Kanab and Fredonia schools. Her family moved to this area during the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam where her father worked. Liz recently moved back to Kanab. A late bloomer, Liz Adair published The Lodger, the first of her three Spider Latham mysteries, about the time AARP started sending signup invitations. Spider appears in two more books: “After Goliath” and “Snakewater Affair”. “Counting the Cost”, won the 2009 Whitney Award and was a finalist for the Willa Award and Arizona Publisher Association’s Glyph Award.
