Jazz composers Brian Booth, Saxophone, and Kevin Stout, Trombone, introduce the finest in lyrical straight-ahead Jazz music to the 9th annual Amazing Earthfest audience! Having produced four full-length CD’s of original compositions to date, the Jazzed5 quintet, with members based in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, Nevada, are among the finest jazz recording artists working in Utah today. Highly unusual in the jazz world, their most recent CD, titled, Color Country is bursting with original lyrical tunes inspired by the majesty of Utah’s National Parks, Forests and Public Lands! These outstanding players will absolutely get you swinging in the aisles!
Other stellar performers in the Jazzed5 quintet include Joey Singer, piano, Tom Warrington, base, and John Abraham, drums. The quintet’s three earlier CD’s include Tales of the Tetons created in 2004, Up Jazz Creek in 2003, and Good Pals in 2002. In these recordings, you’ll delight in main-stream, Latin and be-bop styles. In Color Country, all the charts were written to reflect the beauty and grandeur of the national parks and mountains of southern Utah, including other prominent geologic and historical features of this amazing part of God’s creation. How cool is that! Get more info on Jazzed5 at: http://jazzed5.com/. Don’t miss this rare and memorable performance – it going to be a knock-out!
