Visiting @bestfriendsanimalsociety in Kanab, Utah! BFAS has 3,700 acres in the Angel Canyon, with dedicated sites and resources for dogs, cats, horses, goats, pigs, birds, bunnies, and some wildlife rescues. Founded back in the 1970s, BFAS is now the largest animal sanctuary in the US. They offer daily, free tours to their adoring fans! It's a wonderful opportunity to see a large-scale, animal rescue effort in-action. There is way too much to share in one post, but here are a few snaps from the visit! ••• Pic 2: Radar is a sweet Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler. He was the first dog we met at BFAS, which was perfect, as he had the most gentle and welcoming demeanor! He is recovering from surgery and has a weak back-end. Adopt Radar! ••• Pic 3: Butch, the official greeter of all volunteers to come to Cat World Headquarters, loves people! He also loves going for a ride in his stroller. As soon as we walked into the lobby, he went right over to his stroller! He has irritable bowel syndrome and requires special medical care. The staff and volunteers regularly take cats out in strollers, and sometimes on harnesses! Adopt Butch! ••• Pics 4 & 5: Kitties! Didn't catch their names. Pic 4 gives you a glimpse of one of many catios, with climbing fixtures galore! The facilities include indoor and outdoor spaces, connected by a kitty door. ••• Pic 6: Oh ya know. Just the view from BFAS's vegetarian cafe on site. No big deal... 😍😍😍 ••• #bestfriendsanimalsanctuary #bestfriendsanimalsociety #animalsanctuary #animalrescue #rescuedog #rescuecat #specialneedsdog #specialneedscat #savethemall #catio #angelcanyon #kanab #utah
