From Kanab: North on US89 about 8.6 miles go past the turn off to Best Friends, past Mokie Cave. Climb grade and look for signs, right turn to the east to Peek A Boo Staging Area. GPS: N37 09.271’ W112 34.413
There is a frontage road running north from the Peek A Boo staging area. (It was the old highway). It goes 3.8 miles of rough pavement and then reconnects to US 89. From the staging area 1.8 miles north along this old road there are two pullout areas on the west side of the road used for dry camps, each one would hold at least one unit, maybe more. It is sandy there. Going the 3.8 miles from the staging area, where the old road turns back to US 89, there is a number of good sites along the side of the old highway. These camps have ATV access to the Fun Run Staging areas. Don't camp at the staging area, please, there will also be a lot of vehicles and trailers parked along the road for the first mile north of the staging area. You might get blocked in when it is set up. Dry-Camps go the first person who claims them.
There are a lot of other camp sites along the approach roads to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park or at some of the other staging areas mentioned in our web site. These locations would likely require the trailering of your OHV’s to the staging area. Inquiries regarding RV Parks in Kanab or Mt Carmel Junction areas should go through the Kane County office of Tourism. Volunteers will be working at the Peek A Boo Staging area Thursday afternoon and Friday setting it up and for early rides. Come by for some helpful directions if needed.
